Privacy policy

The short version
- A parent creates the family account. Kids don’t sign up themselves and don’t need an email.
- We keep what the app needs to run your family’s game: names, ages, chores, XP, rewards, allowance balances and any chore photos.
- We don’t show ads, don’t sell or rent data, and don’t use it to profile kids.
- A parent can see, change or delete the family’s data at any time, or ask us to delete everything.
What we collect
- Parent account: email address and password (or Google sign-in), and the family name.
- Family members (entered by a parent): first name, birthday or age, kid or parent role, gender (used to pick a matching character), and chosen character.
- Game activity: chores assigned and checked off, XP and levels, season results, rewards requested and approved, and in-app notifications.
- Allowance (only if a parent turns it on): balances and a history of payouts, gifts and spending. These are numbers in the app — no bank or card details are collected.
- Wish list (optional): items a parent adds (name, price, store link, photo) and kids’ requests.
- Chore photos (only if a parent turns on photo proof): photos a kid takes of a finished chore, for a parent to approve.
- Linked devices: each linked tablet or phone gets a device-only sign-in with a random ID; we store the device type (for example “Fire tablet”) and when it was linked.
- Technical data: the minimum our hosting needs to run, such as IP addresses in server logs.
How we use it
Only to run ChoreLore for your family: show chores and scores, run seasons, track allowance, send in-app notifications, and keep your family’s devices in sync.
AI features
Some features use Google’s Gemini AI to write text or make images:
- Season Story and weekly recap: we send first names, levels, chore names and whether they’re done, and the season’s rival or chapter. We do not send birthdays, emails, photos or allowance data.
- Team uniforms and highlight clips: made from the team and sport only — no personal information.
Google processes these requests to return a result, under Google’s terms for its paid AI services.
Where data is stored
On Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication and Cloud Storage) and Google Cloud Run in the United States. Google encrypts the data in transit and at rest.
Who can see it
- Everyone signed in to your family can see the family’s chores, scores and season.
- A kid’s linked device is locked to that kid. Parent-only areas (allowance settings, photo approvals, the parents’ Spy campaign) are hidden from kids.
- We don’t share data with anyone except the service providers above, or when required by law.
Children
ChoreLore is made for families, and children use it under a parent’s account. A parent provides children’s information and controls it. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from a child without a parent’s account. Parents can review or delete their child’s information at any time (Parent page → Family members → Remove), or by emailing support@topsocialbrands.com.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep data while the family account exists. A parent can remove a family member, erase the family’s history (Parent page → Start fresh), or ask us to delete the whole account by emailing support@topsocialbrands.com. We delete it within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell parents in the app.
